As the Medical Director of Facial Reconstructive Surgery and as Active Faculty for the AO Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Saman has extensive experience in repairing and reconstructing facial lacerations, bony trauma, and other facial defects. In addition to being a board certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Saman is also a board certified in head and neck oncologic and reconstructive surgery which makes him uniquely qualified to manage and treat facial trauma patients.
He has published extensively in medical literature and has lectured nationally. His techniques in facial trauma surgery have been published by the Journal of American Medical Association Facial Plastic Surgery and he has authored the authoritative chapter on the correction of post-traumatic deformities in the Atlas of Operative Maxillofacial Trauma Surgery, Vol. II, edited by Dr. Mike Perry of Ireland. In a select league of reconstructive surgeons, Dr. Saman is teaching faculty for the AO North America, the multi-disciplinary international organization dedicated to training surgeons in the management of the craniomaxillofacial skeleton.
