Dr. Saman specializes in a spectrum of facial plastic surgery including facial cosmetic surgery, facial trauma, facial paralysis and reanimation, and congenital facial deformities. In addition, he is an accomplished head and neck cancer surgeon with training in advanced anterior skull base surgery and microvascular surgery. 

After completing his training in head and neck and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai under the tutelage of some of the world pioneers in head and neck surgery and microvascular reconstruction, Dr. Saman was selected to undergo an additional year of specialized head and neck oncologic and reconstructive surgery training. 

Dr. Saman understand the impact of excellent reconstruction on his patients' quality of life, always upholding the concept of "aesthetic reconstruction" which emphasizes the importance of from and function for optimal reconstructive outcomes related to the head and neck. In fact, he is one of the few surgeons in the country who performs a large amount of head and neck resections but is also a facial plastic surgeon.

In 2015, Dr. Saman was recruited to spearhead the Head and Neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Program at Medical City Plano for which he currently serves as Medical Director. With his leadership, this initiative created a powerhouse of head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgery. Having developed techniques and protocol to treat cancer patients previously deemed "unresectable," Dr. Saman and team were able to successfully develop a Center of Excellence at the highest level awith most complex  transfers in from all areas of the State and beyond.
